Yes, we are the only approved Kentucky real estate education provider for the Military Spouse Career Advancement Accounts (click the link for details & answers about qualifications).
After you get initial approval from MYCAA, they will need to add our pre-license course to your individual MYCAA account. Once that happens, we can then verify your approval by logging into our own account where you will be listed as a student. Please realize they don’t automatically send us notification when we have a new student so once you get everything setup with them, please contact us to get started.
Just for your easy reference, here’s the course information they require:
Course Title: Kentucky 96 Hour Pre-License
Course Number: RE 112
Dates/Term: For starting date, put in the date you are adding the course. The end date can be whatever you’ll need up to six months.
Example: Let’s say the date you are contacting them is Jan 19th, 2014
If you want six months to complete the course, use the following as the dates for the course: Jan 19th, 2012- July 19th, 2012
If you plan on taking three months to finish use: Jan 19th, 2014- April 19th, 2014
It really doesn’t matter to us on our end, but these dates can’t be changed in their system. (It’s ridiculous but true.) As a result we can’t post a completion grade until the end date of the course has passed. This will not create any issues with getting your license (you’ll have a completion certificate from us as of the day you finish the exam) and the Kentucky Real Estate Commission doesn’t know or care whether you’re a MYCAA student or not, but we can’t give you a grade inside the MYCAA system until the day after your finishing date/term ends (regardless of whether you’ve previously finished our self paced course).
We realize they’ve made this more complicated than it should be, but the bottom line is you should use a time frame that you think will give you enough time for completing the course. If necessary, we’ll extend that time frame on our end. If you tell them you need 3 months but you end up taking 6, that’s perfectly okay with us and we’ll post your grade when you finish. If you have any questions, please feel free to give us a call or submit a support ticket.
